Laminated brass arbor shims are crafted from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, with a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. These shims are fully laminated, allowing users to peel off layers to achieve the desired thickness. They possess I.D./O.D. tolerances of +/- 0.008". Precision Brand laminated arbor shims are manufactured through a process that uses pressure and resin/adhesive to bond the metal shim together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item. Users can easily remove layers by peeling away with a pocket knife, thanks to the bonding adhesive that ensures smooth peeling without tearing or ripping the layers.
