Laminated brass arbor shims are constructed from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, featuring a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. These fully laminated shims allow for easy adjustment in thickness by peeling off layers as needed. The inner diameter (I.D.) and outer diameter (O.D.) tolerances are precise at +/- 0.008 inches. Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims utilize a pressure and resin/adhesive bonding process that creates a rigid "one piece" item, ensuring that layers can be removed smoothly with a pocket knife without tearing or ripping, thanks to the optimal bonding adhesive.
