Laminated brass arbor shims are constructed from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, featuring a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. These fully laminated shims allow users to peel off layers to achieve the required thickness, with I.D./O.D. tolerances of +/- 0.008". Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims are manufactured by utilizing pressure and a resin/adhesive to bond metal shims together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item. The design facilitates easy layer removal using a pocket knife to attain the desired thickness, while the bonding adhesive ensures optimal peeling without tearing or ripping of the layers.
