Laminated brass arbor shims are crafted from cold rolled, half hard CDA 260 alloy, with a composition of 2, type 1, class 1. These shims are fully laminated and allow for precise adjustments in thickness by peeling off layers as needed. The I.D./O.D. tolerances are maintained at +/- 0.008". Precision Brand® laminated arbor shims are produced through a process that utilizes pressure and resin/adhesive to bond the metal shim together, resulting in a rigid "one piece" item. The bonding adhesive facilitates smooth peeling, ensuring there is no tearing or ripping of the layers during adjustment.
