The kit includes a 5101 closer body, 5102 closer cover, 5103 main arm assembly, 5104 standard screw pack, a 5909 parallel arm bracket, and a 5940 SNB screw pack, suitable for 1-3/4 inch (44 mm) doors. It is BHMA certified ANSI A156.4, with adjustable sizes ranging from 2 to 6 as a standard, and ADA compliant to ANSI A117.1 only for adjustable sizes 1 to 4 as an optional feature. The unit is UL/CUL listed for up to 3 hours and is rated for positive pressure under UL10C and neutral pressure under UL10B. The materials used include a cast iron body, with a standard full plastic cover and an optional plated metal cover. It features a one-piece seamless steel spring tube, double heat-treated steel, and tempered springs. The adjustable latching and sweep speed valves, along with the adjustable backcheck valve as standard and an optional delayed action valve, are staked as standard. The door closer is non-handed and includes a tri-pack of arms and brackets for regular, parallel arm, and top jamb mounting as a standard feature. It accommodates standard door thickness of 1-3/4 inch (44 mm) and optional thickness ranging from 1-3/8 to 2-1/4 inches (36 mm - 57 mm). Fasteners include self-reaming, self-tapping wood and machine screws, as well as sex nuts and bolts. Available finishes are ALM, BRZ, DBZ, GOL, US3, US26, US26D, and a rust-inhibiting primer as standard. The closer operates with a full rack and pinion mechanism, features a precision machined heat-treated steel piston, and includes a triple heat-treated steel spindle.
