The High Speed Steel TMX Spiral Point Ground Flute Hand Tap is available with a plug chamfer (3-5 thread length) and features a #10 - 24 H3 size, spiral point design, and two flutes. This HSS TMX tap is ground for precision, and the spiral point taps are specifically engineered to eject chips forward, which is why they are also known as gun taps. This forward chip ejection is particularly beneficial for through holes as it minimizes the risk of double cutting chips, resulting in a clean thread.
