The High Speed Steel TMX Spiral Point Ground Flute Hand Tap is available with a plug chamfer (3-5 thread length) and features an M6.0 x .1.0 D5 spiral point design with a plug chamfer. This ISO metric HSS TMX hand tap is ground and configured with a right-hand (RH) orientation and possesses 2 flutes. The ISO metric taps are designed with ANSI shanks, and the spiral point taps are engineered to shoot chips forward, an attribute that gives them the alternate name of gun tap. The forward chip ejection is particularly recommended for through holes, as it minimizes the risk of double cutting of chips, thereby ensuring a clean thread formation.
