This ISO metric HSS TMX hand tap is ground, right-hand (RH) oriented, and has 2 flutes. The tap is equipped with ANSI shanks and is specifically designed to eject chips forward, earning it the alternate name of gun tap. The forward chip ejection mechanism is particularly effective for through holes and minimizes the risk of double cutting of chips, resulting in a clean thread.
