Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment issues, and reduce equipment flange stress. The hoses are constructed with a bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring close-pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB variant has female copper sweat fittings on both ends. These braided bronze hoses with copper sweat ends are suitable for a wide range of services, excluding refrigerants, and are characterized by their virtually no stiffness or mass in copper lines. However, they are not suitable for steam applications.
