Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. These hoses are manufactured from annular corrugated 304 stainless steel tubing, which is covered by a tightly woven 304 stainless steel braid. The close-pitched corrugations provide maximum flexibility. Type NF features braided stainless steel with copper sweat ends and is U.L. approved for refrigeration service.
