Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. The hoses are constructed with a bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring closely pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB model includes female copper sweat fittings on both ends. These braided bronze hoses with copper sweat ends are suitable for all services except refrigerant and are not suitable for steam. Copper lines used in this design exhibit virtually no stiffness or mass.
