Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. These hoses are manufactured with a bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring close-pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB variant is equipped with female copper sweat fittings on both ends. The braided bronze hose with copper sweat ends is suitable for various services, excluding refrigerant, and offers minimal stiffness or mass in copper lines. However, it is not suitable for steam applications.
