Metallic flexible hoses reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. Hoses are manufactured from annular corrugated 304 stainless steel tubing covered by a tightly woven 304 stainless steel braid. The corrugations are very close pitched for maximum flexibility. Type FFL has fixed x floating raised face flanges, with the floating flange on one side facilitating easier alignment of the bolt holes during installation. The raised face flanges offer better sealing than traditional flat face flanges.
