Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. These hoses are constructed from annular corrugated 304 stainless steel tubing, which is covered by a tightly woven 304 stainless steel braid. The close-pitched corrugations allow for maximum flexibility. The Type FFL hoses feature fixed x floating raised face flanges, with the floating flange on one side facilitating easier alignment of the bolt holes during installation. Additionally, the raised face flanges provide a better seal compared to traditional flat face flanges.
