Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. The hoses are constructed with a bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring closely pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB includes a female copper sweat fitting on both ends. These braided bronze hoses with copper sweat ends are suitable for various services except refrigerant and have virtually no stiffness or mass. It is important to note that these hoses are not suitable for steam applications.
