Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. These hoses are manufactured with a bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring close-pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB model includes female copper sweat fittings on both ends. The braided bronze hose with copper sweat ends is suitable for various services, excluding refrigerant applications, and is not recommended for steam. Copper lines used in this design have virtually no stiffness or mass, enhancing their performance in various installations.
