Metallic flexible hoses are designed to reduce pipe wall noise transmission, prevent pipe fatigue, simplify alignment problems, and reduce equipment flange stress. The hoses are manufactured with bronze hose covered by a tightly woven bronze braid, featuring closely pitched corrugations for maximum flexibility. The Type CPSB variant includes female copper sweat fittings on both ends. These braided bronze hoses with copper sweat ends are suitable for a variety of services except refrigerants, and copper lines exhibit virtually no stiffness or mass. However, these hoses are not suitable for steam applications.
