Our explosion-proof motors are designed for hazardous environments, featuring a comprehensive explosion-proof class and group rating suitable for applications that may involve explosive gases or materials. The motors are UL listed, with frame sizes ranging from 56-145T and 182T-445T, compliant with Class 1 Groups C & D and Class 2 Groups F & G (Divisions 1 & 2). For frames 182T-256T and 364T-449T, the ratings are the same. The motors include 250 HP options for 449T and 449TS models, certified as Class 1 Group D and Class 2 Groups F & G (Divisions 1 & 2). The construction features steel frames and cast aluminum end brackets for sizes 56-145T, while cast iron frames and end brackets are used on frames 182T and larger. Inverter-rated designs are available, offering a constant and variable torque speed range of 6 to 60 Hz (10:1). The motors are nameplated for 190/380 volt, 50 Hz operation, incorporate a premium Class F insulation system, and are equipped with an automatic reset thermal protector for sizes 56-145T or a thermostat for sizes 182T-449T. These products meet the UL frame temperature limit code T3B.
