Our explosion-proof motors are specifically designed for use in hazardous environments, adhering to the motor's explosion-proof class and group ratings for applications that may involve explosive gases or materials. The motors are UL listed with frames 56-145T and 182T-445T classified under class 1 group C & D, as well as class 2 groups F & G (divisions 1 & 2). For frames 182T-256T and 364T-449T, they also meet class 1 group C & D and class 2 groups F & G (divisions 1 & 2). The 250 HP models available in frame 449T and 449TS are qualified as class 1 group D and class 2 groups F & G (divisions 1 & 2). The construction features steel frames and cast aluminum end brackets for frames 56-145T, while frames 182T and larger utilize cast iron frames and end brackets. Inverter-rated designs are available, supporting a constant and variable torque speed range from 6 to 60 Hz (10:1 ratio). The motors are nameplated for 190/380 volt, 50 Hz operation and feature a premium class F insulation system. Additionally, they incorporate an automatic reset thermal protector for frames 56-145T or a thermostat for frames 182T-449T. The motors comply with the UL frame temperature limit code T3B.
