Variable torque, two-speed motors are designed for belted or fan on shaft applications, featuring self-ventilation that allows them to be mounted both within and outside of the driven fan's air stream. These motors are resiliently mounted for quiet operation and are lubricated with high-temperature Exxon Polyrex® EM lubricant. The motors with a power rating of 3/4 HP and larger are capacitor start types, while those with smaller power ratings utilize a split phase start mechanism.
