The Sub-FHP AC gearmotors are designed for continuous duty and general purpose applications, featuring a totally enclosed construction suitable for operation at 60/50 Hz, with the exception of hi-torque single-phase models which operate at 60 Hz only. Each gearbox is crafted with a rugged aluminum die cast housing to ensure maximum support for gears and bearings. The precision machined gearing is hardened for optimal load capability and is designed according to AGMA class 9 standards to endure momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. These gearmotors are equipped with oversized output bearings for enhanced overhung load capacity and extended lifespan, while the high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity. Additionally, all needle bearing journals are precision-ground after heat treatment for superior finish and fit. The inclusion of single lip, spring-loaded, heavy-duty industrial oil seals effectively retains lubricant while preventing dirt ingress, and the gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent, heavy-duty gear oil.
