The Sub-FHP AC gearmotors are designed for continuous duty in general purpose applications and are totally enclosed for enhanced durability. They are rated for 60/50 Hz operation, except for the Hi-Torque single-phase models, which operate at 60 Hz only. The gearbox features a rugged aluminum die-cast housing that maximizes gear and bearing support, while the precision machined gearing is hardened to ensure maximum load capability. All gearing is designed and rated according to AGMA Class 9 standards and can withstand momentary shock overloads of up to 200%. Oversized output bearings enhance overhung load capacity and extend the lifespan of the motor. The high-carbon alloy output shaft provides exceptional strength and rigidity, and all needle bearing journals are precision-ground post heat treating for optimal finish and fit. Heavy-duty industrial oil seals with a single lip and spring loading help retain lubricant while keeping contaminants out, and the gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent heavy-duty gear oil, ensuring reliable operation.
