Our explosion-proof motors are specifically designed for hazardous environments, complying with the motor's explosion-proof class and group ratings for applications that may involve explosive gases or materials. The motors are UL listed for frames 56-145T and 182T-445T, Class 1 Groups C & D, and Class 2 Groups F & G (Divisions 1 & 2). For frames 182T-256T and 364T-449T, they are also rated for Class 1 Groups C & D and Class 2 Groups F & G (Divisions 1 & 2). The 250 HP variant is available in Class 1 Group D and Class 2 Groups F & G (Divisions 1 & 2) in frames 449T and 449TS. The motors feature steel frames and cast aluminum end brackets for frames 56-145T, while frames 182T and larger are constructed with cast iron frames and end brackets. Inverter-rated designs are available for a constant and variable torque speed range of 6 to 60 Hz (10:1). They are nameplated for 190/380 volt, 50 Hz operation, and include a premium Class F insulation system. Safety features consist of an automatic reset thermal protector for frames 56-145T or a thermostat for frames 182T-449T. Additionally, these motors meet the UL frame temperature limit code T3B.
