The Sub-FHP AC gearmotors are designed for continuous duty in general purpose applications, featuring a totally enclosed construction. They are rated for 60/50 Hz operation, except for the high-torque single-phase models, which operate at 60 Hz only. The gearbox boasts a rugged aluminum die-cast housing that provides optimal gear and bearing support. With precision machined gearing that is hardened for maximum load capability, all gearing is designed and rated to AGMA class 9 standards and can withstand a momentary shock overload of 200%. Additionally, oversized output bearings enhance overhung load capacity and extend operational life, while a high-carbon alloy output shaft ensures maximum strength and rigidity. All needle bearing journals are precision-ground post heat treating to achieve the best finish and fit. The design includes single lip, spring-loaded, heavy-duty industrial oil seals to effectively retain lubricant and exclude dirt. Gears and bearings are splash lubricated with permanent, heavy-duty gear oil, ensuring optimal performance.
