Tough Guy straight tube heaters offer fuel savings up to 50% and are designed for complete building heating. They feature a positive pressure system that pressurizes the combustion chamber and utilize emitter tubes made of heat-treated aluminized steel. All gas and electrical connections are conveniently located at the same end of the heater. The heaters have reliable direct spark ignition and 100% gas shut-off safety control. They support up to 40' of ducting for fresh air or 40' sidewall venting capability, with the blower located inside the burner box. These heaters are ideal for applications that require minimal noise (less than 60dB) and come equipped with a heavy-duty permanently lubricated and ball bearing blower motor for maintenance-free operation. Highly efficient aluminum reflectors enhance performance, and the kit includes a diaphragm air switch, heavy-duty cast iron burner, and burner inspection sight glass, as well as a diagnostic monitoring light system. They require a 120V supply and offer external 24V thermostat connection or line voltage operation. Minimum mounting heights are specified for human comfort and uniform energy distribution in complete building applications, with recommendations to mount heaters as high as possible. The Tough Guy series is suitable for environments such as car washes, greenhouses, swimming pools, wastewater treatment plants, dairy barns, and other high humidity areas. This product is CSA certified, made in the USA, and comes with a 5-year limited warranty on tubes and a 1-year limited warranty on the unit.
