The 3M™ Cubitron™ II fibre disc quick change 982C features a 5" diameter with TN ceramic grain at 60+ grit, designed for edge chamfering, beveling, and the removal of carbon steel welds, mill scale, pits, imperfections, and machining grooves. It employs 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology with triangular-shaped ceramic grains electrostatically oriented on a vulcanized fiber backing to form sharp peaks that continuously self-sharpen, providing up to twice the life of other fiber discs while reducing grinding pressure and heat. This heavy-duty disc, suited for weld removal, grinding, and blending metal surfaces, offers superior cutting performance and durability. Applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, gate removal, grinding, high-pressure grinding, right-angle grinding, and weld removal and finishing in metal fabrication industries. The fiber disc complies with industrial standards for high-performance abrasives and includes a warranty as specified by 3M.
