The 3M™ Fiber Disc 987C measures 9-1/8" in diameter with a 7/8" arbor hole and features a precision-shaped ceramic grain with 80+ grit, designed specifically for stainless steel and other heat-sensitive applications. The precision-shaped grain technology improves disc life by up to two times or more, cuts faster, and enhances productivity compared to other leading ceramic discs. This disc is ideal for edge chamfering, beveling, removing stainless steel welds, mill scale, pits, imperfections, machining grooves, and similar tasks, offering a lower cost per grind. Suitable applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, gate removal, grinding, high-pressure grinding, right-angle grinding, weld removal, and metal fabrication finishing.
