The 3M™ Cubitron™ II fibre disc quick change 982C features a 7" diameter with GL ceramic grain 60+ grit, designed for edge chamfering, beveling, and removing carbon steel welds, mill scale, pits, imperfections, and machining grooves. Utilizing 3M™ Precision Shaped Grain technology, the disc contains electrostatically oriented triangular ceramic grains that form sharp peaks to maximize cutting potential, self-sharpening as points break off to reduce heat from friction and extend disc life up to twice that of other fiber discs with less grinding pressure. The heavy-duty fibre disc has a tough, stiff backing made from vulcanized fiber that resists wear and suits demanding grinding applications. It is ideal for weld removal, grinding, blending metal surfaces, edge beveling, edge chamfering, gate removal, high pressure grinding, right angle grinding, and finishing in metal fabrication industries.
