The Edwards 6538-G5 call for assistance system is specifically designed for environments requiring a call-for-help or emergency switch, including health care facilities, public restrooms, and handicapped areas. The kit includes a Cat. No. 6536-G5 horn/strobe, which features a high-intensity strobe and an audible horn that generates an 82 dBA sound pressure level at a distance of 10 feet; it is intended for installation in a single gang box measuring 2" (51mm) x 4" (102mm) mounted above the door. Included is a Cat. No. 6537 emergency pull cord station, which features a stainless steel face plate and a double pole single throw (DPST) switch, allowing for emergency call activation and reset. The system is powered by the Cat. No. 592 transformer, which includes a grounding wire and is suitable for use in both plastic and metal boxes. Each component of the system can be ordered individually, providing flexibility in setup and installation.
