The Weatherproof internal base mounted horn is rated at 85 dB at 10 feet (3.05 m) and features a cast base that can also be utilized as a junction box. The Edwards 51 series Adaptabeacon flashing lights with horns are designed for bright visual indication through special optics incorporated within a shatter-resistant polycarbonate lens. The polycarbonate double Fresnel lens ensures efficient light dispersion, with a series of complementing Fresnels that enhance the light's effectiveness. These lenses are available in six colors: red, amber, blue, green, magenta, and clear, and they increase beam distance with their design. The unique base design allows for horn audibility while retaining the unit's weatherproof capabilities, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. It can be directly mounted using 1/2" (13mm) conduit or on a 4" (102mm) octagon box, with the requirement that for weatherproof installations, units must be mounted vertically with the lens facing up. It may also be corner mounted indoors using Cat. no. CBR corner mount bracket or wall mounted indoors with Cat. no. WBR wall mount bracket. For additional protection against breakage, the Cat. no. 92-GRD lens guard is available as an accessory.
