The model KPO5-21 is a compact portable air conditioning unit with a nominal capacity of 5 tons or 60,000 BTU, measuring 32 inches wide to fit through a standard 36-inch door. It is designed for applications requiring temporary cooling, such as sealed interior rooms when dedicated A/C units are out of service. The unit can be positioned outdoors and ducted into the building or placed inside with ducting to an interior space. It boasts advanced airflow capabilities with up to 50 feet of cold air return and supply, along with up to 65 feet of hot air exhaust ducting. Operating on a 208V-1 60 amp or 230V-1 50 amp single-phase circuit, the KPO5-21 must be hardwired by a qualified electrician. The condenser is equipped with low ambient temperature capability using a variable frequency drive, allowing operation in temperatures below freezing. The heavy-duty base features removable wheels and forklift skid access for easy transport and setup. Additionally, all KPO models are furnished with a high-functional phase monitor for electrical protection and an internal high lift condensate pump. Constructed from HD 16 gauge insulated G90 galvanized steel with an epoxy powder coating, the unit is mounted on a 12 gauge skid for durability and efficiency. The KPO5-21 has HD swivel and locking casters for stability, operates efficiently in a temperature range of 32 to 110°, and is ETL and CETL listed for compliance.
