The kit includes a heavy 11 oz pre-coated woven vinyl coated mesh polyester screen that is resistant to ultraviolet rays, rot, tear, and mildew. Featuring a 17 x 11 polyester scrim, the screen provides small openings that are difficult for insects to penetrate, while a shade screen factor improvement of 65% helps to maintain cooler environments in non-air-conditioned spaces. The leading edge, valance, and floor sweep are made from durable 18 oz vinyl, enhancing wear resistance. The valance mounts directly to the building for improved stability, and a full-length fiberglass tube stiffens the leading edge to ensure a proper seal against the door jamb. The mesh curtain attaches permanently to one side and closes to the opposite side, while top valance panels and a bottom floor sweep form a nearly complete seal against insects. Its pliable hem on the leading edge guarantees a snug fit, and it glides side-to-side via an easy-to-install track with a dual wheeled trolley roller system.
