The units can be configured in three ways: as a comfortable bench with a back, as a table with a bench, or combined into one large table using the built-in ganging devices. Transitioning between configurations is safe, easy, and quick. For secure storage, the units fold and nest neatly, and safety features include two locking casters to prevent movement during use while ensuring that the benches do not touch the tops when folded, thus preventing finger pinching.
