Convertible bench units from National Public Seating are designed for versatility and durability, featuring a robust 14-gauge steel frame with tabletops and benches protected by a high-pressure laminate top and a phenolic backer sheet, enabling power washing capabilities. The units can be configured in three different settings: as a comfortable bench with a back, as a table accompanied by benches, or by combining two units with built-in ganging devices to form one large table. The transformation is safe and quick, and the units nest compactly for efficient storage. Additional safety features include two locking casters that prevent movement during use and a design that ensures benches do not contact the tops when folding, thus avoiding finger pinching. The benches utilize non-marring reinforced nylon glides with steel inserts over leg uprights, and there are eight casters in total, with two locking casters designed to remain on the ground while in use.
