The gravity skatewheel conveyor is designed to convey lightweight loads with firm, flat surfaces such as cartons, totes, and cases. It features lighter weight construction than roller conveyors, making it ideal for quick temporary setups, and includes quick connecting hook and rod couplers. The skatewheels roll freely, which is better suited for lighter packages. The conveyor frames are made of 1" x 2-1/2" x 1" sections in 12-gauge galvanized steel, with axles consisting of steel rods on 3" centers, one end threaded with a locking nut. Wheels are 1-15/16" diameter, pre-lubricated and zinc-plated steel with a specified bore, and a load capacity of 75 lb each. Hook and rod couplers are zinc plated, and skateboard sections are measured by overall width (OAW). The galvanized steel frame capacities are 36 lbs. per foot with supports spaced 10 feet apart and 260 lbs. per foot with supports spaced 5 feet apart, based on evenly distributed non-impact loads. The conveyor's wheel per foot (WPF) rating is noted per line item, and aluminum conveyor options provide lighter weight for easier handling, while galvanized steel options offer heavier and more durable construction.
