The gravity skatewheel conveyor is designed to convey lightweight loads with firm, flat surfaces such as cartons, totes, and cases. It is lighter in weight than roller conveyors, making it ideal for quick temporary setups, and includes quick connecting hook and rod couplers that are zinc plated. The skatewheels, which roll freely to accommodate lighter packages, have a diameter of 1-15/16" and are made of pre-lubricated aluminum with a " diameter bore, each wheel supporting up to 75 lbs. The frame is constructed from 1" x 2-1/2" x 1" sections of 1/8" heat-treated aluminum, with steel axles on 3" centers, one end threaded with a locking nut. Load capacities for aluminum frames are 16 lbs per foot with supports spaced at 10' centers, and 150 lbs per foot with supports at 5' centers; frames are measured by overall width (OAW), and wheels per foot (WPF) are specified per line item. Aluminum conveyors are lighter for easier handling, while galvanized steel conveyors offer greater durability.
