The gravity skatewheel conveyor is designed to convey lightweight loads with firm, flat conveying surfaces such as cartons, totes, and cases. It is lighter than roller conveyors, making it ideal for quick temporary setups and easier handling, especially the aluminum models. The conveyor includes quick connecting hook and rod couplers, which are zinc plated, and features 1-15/16" diameter pre-lubricated aluminum wheels that roll freely, providing better performance for lighter packages. The construction consists of 1" x 2-1/2" x 1" frames made from 1/8" heat-treated aluminum, with steel axles on 3" centers; one end of each axle is threaded with a locking nut. Skatewheel sections are measured by the overall width (OAW), and the wheels have a bore diameter supporting capacities of 75 lbs each. Aluminum frame capacities for evenly distributed, non-impact loads are 16 lbs per foot with supports spaced at 10-foot centers and 150 lbs per foot with supports spaced at 5-foot centers. The combination of galvanized steel frames increases durability while increasing weight compared to aluminum frames, allowing options based on application needs.
