The R6 Polyiso insulation in the curb and cover is designed to reduce energy costs, featuring a construction of 14 gauge galvanized steel with a weather-resistant white textured powder coat finish, complemented by a 22 gauge cover liner and a continuous EPDM gasket. The system includes counterbalanced springs and a locking hold-open arm, which enables single-handed operation of the cover, allowing the operator to maintain three points of contact with the ladder. Its indented Diamond Grip™ design effectively secures the roofing membrane and backer rod, enhancing ease of installation. The hardware is zinc-plated, including inside and outside handles as well as padlock hasps, and the assembly has been tested to withstand wind uplift pressures of 50 PSF.
