The JL Industries® Diamond Series Aluminum Roof Hatch measures 48"W x 48"L and features R6 polyiso insulation in both the curb and cover to help reduce energy costs. The curb and cover are constructed from 11 gauge weather-resistant, mill finish aluminum, complemented by an 18 gauge cover liner and a continuous EPDM gasket. For ease of use, counterbalanced springs and a locking hold-open arm enable single-handed operation of the cover, allowing the operator to maintain three points of contact with the ladder. The hatch's indented diamond grip™ design secures the roofing membrane and backer rod, facilitating easier installation. Furthermore, all hardware is zinc-plated, including inside and outside handles and padlock hasps. The roof hatch has been tested to withstand 50 PSF wind uplift.
