The Field Controls 8 Power Venter, with a capacity of 740,000 BTU, features a patented SWG Venter that is ETL and CETL listed for compatibility with all LP gas, natural gas, or oil-fired heating equipment. This unit combines a motor, blower, and vent hood into a single, easy-to-install package that mounts on the exterior of a building, effectively pulling combustion gases from the appliance through the outside wall via 100% negative pressure. The construction allows for the use of standard galvanized pipe instead of more costly stainless steel, eliminating the need for sealing vent pipe joints, which saves both time and money. The SWG Venter is designed to handle significantly longer vent lengths compared to positive pressure, direct vent systems, and is recommended by major heating appliance manufacturers. The SWG must be sized appropriately to match the input firing rate of the appliance(s), which is typically found in the manufacturer's installation manual. For installation, a CK control kit is necessary to ensure proper listing and safe, efficient venting. This unit is suitable for use with gas or oil furnaces, boilers, and water heaters, making it ideal for new construction, conversions from electric to gas or oil, avoiding chimney relining, and installing additional heating appliances.
