The Morse Model 26 drum/barrel pump is designed for handling petroleum products or lube oils with a viscosity of up to 2000 SSU, providing a controlled discharge rate of approximately 1 quart (0.95 liter) per complete forward and backward cycle at a pressure of 10 PSI over a distance of 24 feet (7.3 m). The pump fits the NPT (National Pipe Thread) of the 2" (5 cm) bung on both 55 or 30-gallon (208 or 114 liter) steel drums, and adaptors are available for compatibility with the buttress thread of 2" (5 cm) bungs on plastic barrels. The suction lift has been tested for a minimum of 15 feet (4.6 m), with a maximum discharge head of 25 feet (7.3 m) and output head pressure reaching up to 10.83 PSI. It features a 1" (2.54 cm) NPT suction tube and a 3/4" (1.9 cm) NPT discharge tube, along with a two-position pump handle that can be mounted above the drum for an extended height of 20.5" (52 cm) or below the drum for easier operation. The self-lubricating polytetrafluoroethylene piston ring ensures long life and operates effectively with liquids up to 120°F (49°C). This pump is suitable for use with liquids in a mild acidity/alkalinity range of pH 4 to 9, while avoiding stronger acids and caustics.
