The Morse® hand drum pump is designed for use with methyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol with a viscosity of up to 2000 SSU. It provides a controlled discharge rate of approximately 1 quart (0.95 liter) on a complete forward and backward cycle at 10 psi over a distance of 24 feet (7.3 m). This pump is compatible with the NPT (National Pipe Thread) of the 2" (5 cm) bung on 55 or 30 gallon (208 or 114 liter) steel drums, and adaptors are available for use with the buttress thread of the 2" (5 cm) bung on plastic barrels. The pump has been suction lift tested for a minimum of 15 feet (4.6 m) and can discharge head up to 25 feet (7.3 m), with an output head pressure of up to 10.83 psi. It features a 1" (2.54 cm) NPT suction tube and a 3/4" (1.9 cm) NPT discharge tube, along with a two-position drum pump handle that can be mounted above or below the drum for ease of operation. The self-lubricating polytetrafluoroethylene piston ring allows for operation in wet or dry conditions, ensuring long life and compatibility with liquids up to 120°F (49°C). The pump is effective within a mild acidity/alkalinity range of pH 4 to 9 and should be used with caution around stronger acids and caustics.
