Fast, inexpensive alternative to black oxide, the Precision Brand® Tool Black® Liquid Kit imparts a tough, dull black protective finish to ferrous metal parts, making it ideal for prototypes, repair parts, and general machine work. The kit includes one pint each of Tool Black® Liquid, Prevent®, and Metal Polish/Cleanser. The liquid solution is specifically designed for use on small immersible parts and should be applied at room temperature as a cold application. One pint of Tool Black® Liquid provides coverage for 25 to 38 square feet, though this may vary depending on the application technique. Additionally, Tool Black® products cannot be shipped via air transportation.
