The Adjustable Z-Blade louver with a fusible link activated at 165 degrees F is designed for use in fire doors with up to a 1-1/2 hour rating. This self-attaching frame style is suitable for installation in existing door cutouts. It includes a 16 gauge cold-rolled steel (CRS) frame and louver blades, with a minimum size of 10" x 6" and a maximum size of 24" x 24". The construction features riveted louver blades attached to an operating bar and frame at 1" intervals, complemented by a welded 1-9/16" deep frame. A mechanical stop holds the blades open, while the frame has mitered and welded corners with screws fastened through the prepared frame into the louver core, leaving the corridor side of the frame free of fasteners. The adjustable blades, made of 16 gauge CRS, pivot on cadmium-plated steel rivets and can be operated using a manual adjusting lever. An integrated spring-loaded fusible link mechanism allows for automatic closure and locking of the blades upon melting of the link.
