This bit is constructed from heat-treated high carbon steel, allowing the drill point and cutting edge to be resharpened for cost savings and longevity. It is designed for drilling in wood, plastic, plywood, and Formica, with a 6 in. drilling depth, and can be used with a 12 in. extension (48-28-3350) for deeper applications. The double wing spurs reduce vibration, facilitating easy hole formation, while the patented cutting edge enhances the speed and efficiency of wood boring compared to conventional models. The cutting edge is specifically designed to remove chips quickly, ensuring a clean drilling process. It features a 1/4'' quick change hex shank, making it compatible with all universal Quik Lok extensions.
