The optional 1 HP upgrade for the Omni Metalcraft power belt conveyor features a totally enclosed 1 HP, 115/230V, 60 Hz single-phase motor that includes an 8 ft. power cord and an on/off switch for 115V use. This motor is designed with quality attributes such as crowned and fully lagged 4" drive and tail pulleys equipped with 1-3/16" diameter shafts, providing a speed of 60 FPM. The upgrade allows for higher conveyor load capacities compared to the standard 1/2 HP motor, specifically a load capacity of 740 lbs. for a 12"W belt and 640 lbs. for a 20-24"W belt, with the load capacity uniformly distributed over the length of the conveyor. The horsepower specifications include: for a 12"W belt, a 1/2 HP standard motor supports 250 lbs., a 3/4 HP optional motor supports 500 lbs., a 1 HP optional motor supports 740 lbs., a 1-1/2 HP optional motor supports 1230 lbs., and a 2 HP optional motor supports 1680 lbs.; while for a 20" - 24"W belt, the capacities are 160 lbs., 390 lbs., 640 lbs., 1090 lbs., and 1580 lbs. respectively. This motor upgrade must be purchased in conjunction with a conveyor to which it is applied and is not offered as a standalone motor.
