The Omni Metalcraft power belt conveyor optional 1-1/2 HP upgrade features a totally enclosed 1-1/2 HP, 115/230V, 60 Hz single-phase motor, complete with an 8 ft. power cord and an on/off switch for 115V use. This upgrade includes quality elements such as crowned and fully lagged 8" drive pulleys with 1-3/16" diameter shafts, operating at a speed of 60 FPM. The 1-1/2 HP motor allows for higher conveyor load capacities compared to the standard 1/2 HP motor, with a load capacity of 1230 lbs. for a 12"W belt and 1090 lbs. for a 20-24"W belt. The load capacities for uniformly distributed weight over length are as follows: for the standard 1/2 HP, 12"W belt has a capacity of 250 lbs. and a 20"-24"W belt has a capacity of 160 lbs.; the optional 3/4 HP supports 500 lbs. on a 12"W belt and 390 lbs. on a 20"-24"W belt; the optional 1 HP supports 740 lbs. on a 12"W belt and 640 lbs. on a 20"-24"W belt; while the optional 2 HP supports 1680 lbs. on a 12"W belt and 1580 lbs. on a 20"-24"W belt. Note that this horsepower upgrade is intended for use with a conveyor and is not a standalone motor.
