The optional 2 HP upgrade for the Omni Metalcraft power belt conveyor features a totally enclosed 2 HP, 115/230V, 60 Hz single phase motor, complete with an 8 ft. power cord and an on/off switch for 115V use. It includes quality attributes such as crowned and fully lagged 8" drive pulleys with 1-3/16" diameter shafts, and operates at a speed of 60 FPM. This upgrade allows for higher conveyor load capacities compared to the standard 1/2 HP motor. It is important to note that this horsepower upgrade is not a standalone motor and must be purchased in conjunction with a conveyor. The load capacity specifications are as follows: for a 12" wide belt, the capacity is 1680 lbs, while for a 20-24" wide belt, the capacity is 1580 lbs. The load capacity in pounds, when uniformly distributed over the length, varies with horsepower: for the standard 1/2 HP motor, the capacities are 250 lbs for a 12" wide belt and 160 lbs for a 20-24" wide belt; for the optional 3/4 HP, the capacities are 500 lbs and 390 lbs respectively; for the optional 1 HP, the capacities are 740 lbs and 640 lbs respectively; for the optional 1-1/2 HP, the capacities are 1230 lbs and 1090 lbs respectively; and for the optional 2 HP, the capacities are 1680 lbs and 1580 lbs respectively.
