Modine steam and hot water horizontal unit heaters, specifically the Modine 47,000 BTU steam and hot water unit heater, are designed for general commercial and industrial applications, making them suitable for heating buildings with large open areas and low ceilings. These horizontal unit heaters effectively counteract heat loss along exterior walls, particularly in areas with windows. They feature top/bottom inlet/outlet piping for quick and cost-effective installation, along with a robust steel housing treated for corrosion resistance and finished with a baked-on powder coat. The unit includes a totally-enclosed 1/12 HP motor with thermal overload protection for enhanced durability, adjustable horizontal louvers for directed air flow, and a Venturi fan-shroud that minimizes noise. A built-in safety guard protects against exposed fan elements, and an electrical junction box simplifies electrical connections. All installations must be performed by a licensed contractor. The unit is ETL listed, made in the U.S.A., and comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
