Modine steam and hot water horizontal unit heaters include the Modine 108,000 BTU model, designed for general commercial and industrial applications. These horizontal unit heaters are particularly suitable for heating buildings with large open areas and low ceilings, effectively countering heat loss along outside walls, especially in areas with windows. They feature top/bottom inlet/outlet piping for straightforward and cost-effective installation. Built with a steel housing treated for corrosion resistance and finished with a baked-on powder coat, these units are designed to withstand rigorous handling and on-the-job abuse. The unit is equipped with a totally-enclosed 1/8 HP motor that includes thermal overload protection for extended durability. Adjustable horizontal louvers enable precise air flow direction, while a Venturi fan-shroud minimizes operating noise. A built-in safety guard protects against exposed fan components, and an electrical junction box facilitates easy electrical connections, although installation must be performed by a licensed contractor. The heater is ETL listed, made in the U.S.A., and comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
